Though Girl Scouts is definitely year-round for me, most of the troops are winding down for summer. Brooklyn's was no different and over the last two weeks she had a Bridging Ceremony (kind of like a graduation ceremony) as she went from Brownies to Juniors and her last troop meeting of the year. If anyone is keeping track that means my BABY GIRL will be going into 4th grade in the fall. Jeepers.
Somehow I was deemed important enough to be the speaker at the ceremony. :-)
Then, this week at their last troop meeting each girl had to do a short presentation explaining either (1) what they loved about Brownie Girl Scouts or (2) how girls can do anything boys can do.
Brooklyn did a great job explaining all the jobs and sports that women can do just as well as men.
Hard to believe this little "future Girl Scout" will be starting her 5th year in August!
